The Gift of Sharing Your Passion

By December 21, 2012No Comments

Post written by Jim Birch, contributor to the Grand Rapids Triathlon blog.

Here goes the old guy getting a little sentimental during the season for gift giving.

After 30 plus years of participating in triathlons, for being the incentive for making nudity a disqualifying occurrence (my humor disclaimer), I want to thank all my competitors for sharing the water and roads with me.Jim

The easiest and most effective gift one gives is time and we all have shared “time.”  The benefit of that gift is not only fitness but the smile we share with one another. I have received that gift from Dave Scott, Mike Pigg, Karen Smyers, and my training partner Cindy Duby….and they all are in the same category…passionate people sharing the same passion on the same road.

So thank all of you for sharing! Have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year. I’ll see you all on the road….I’m just a lot slower now, so wait up for me!
