Grand Rapids Triathlon is Michigan’s largest independent triathlon. The flat and fast course is ideal for the new and experienced triathlete alike. Participants can enjoy a beautiful swim in the lake-like Thornapple River, ride the flat country-road bike course then finish with a run on a scenic and shaded course with loads of local support. Known as one of the best welcoming races for first-time triathletes,
GRTri is returning to a one-day format in 2026, with race day featuring all four distances and formats. The next Grand Rapids Triathlon is scheduled for June 7 2026.
